    My 97 Johnson 150 fast strike is grinding when we put it in forward gear but not every time, any suggestions?

    1997 johnson 150 fast strike run great for 20 30 miniutes then after sitting 30 miniutes it starts but will not go more than 2200 rpm every so often it will rev up for a second sometimes 3 to 5 seconds it has completely shut down a time or 2
