    Carburetor fuel mixture screws caps?

    Need help identifying this threaded hole on BF90?

    Can somebody tell me what this hole that is circled is? Just got the BF90 and I believe it is a 1998. Took it out for its maiden voyage and died under load so I'm thinking carbs need to be cleaned for sure, but it starts first try and idles fine. What does this port/hole go to? Thanks Andrew

    Honda Controls?

    Looks like I might need to replace my remote controls since they are not working very smoothly. I have a 1998 BF90 ...Are these compatible with the the 2000 era wiring harness? It said pre on many years in the description...

    Gap between top of transom and outboard mount?

    First off sorry, I know this is not exactly an outboard question. I replaced a BF50 with a BF90. Set to the proper height for my transom, there is now a 1" space between the transom and the mounting bracket. Is it safe to run it with this gap or do we need to place a spacer/bar? Thanks Andrew

    1998 BF90 Lower Unit Gear oil type?

    From what I understand the 1998 lower is a Mercury unit, assuming the motor I just bought has the original unit... I know Honda lowers are pretty finicky about the gear oil type. Is this the correct Honda hypoid gear oil...

    I just purchased a BF90 carbed version (believe its a 1998) to replace a 2000 BF50 - will my current controls be compatible with the BF90? Thanks Andrew

    Help reinstalling lower unit on 2005 Tohatsu 4 hp??

    Is there a trick to get this thing back in? I've changed water pumps then reinstalled the lower on a Honda 50 and Johnson 15 no problem. The shaft seems like it is being obstructed somehow. Please help. Thanks! Andrew

    BF50 idles rough, but runs OK?

    My idle was around 1000rpms when vacuum was checked... :confused: I may have a problem with the idle mixture screws - mine appear to be unadjustable. There seems to be like a "wall" in the way giving them limited turnability if that makes sense. Also, two of the heads of the idle screws broke...

    Engine seems to run ok, but idle can be low at times. On cold starts I have to hold choke for about 3-5 minutes to warm up or motor will die. After motor is warm idle will usually hold, but motor seems to shudder. 1. I recently took carbs apart and cleaned them, and synced carbs but vacuum...

    Bf50 synched carbs- low vacuum?

    Just finished syncing the carbs, what could be the cause of low back now? It is at about 5in Hg IIRC. Thanks

    Honda BF50 won't shift into reverse???

    I've got a 2000 Honda 50 that won't shift into reverse. Goes into neutral and forward fine. It seems like the rod is too short and won't push down enough to get into reverse.... Any help is much appreciated Andrew
