    Merc Carb Adjustment

How do you go about adjusting the air mixture screw on this carb? There's no slot for a screwdriver????, And the round little housing around it flexes around the needle valve, but does nothing. The needle that came with the carb kit has a slot for a screwdriver in it??? What's up with this?

Looking for a kit for a carb with no #'s

This is a 2001 30' Suntracker Party Hut with 3.0 Litre inline 4 cylinder. The cover for the air cleaner has some info, but the serial #'s as you can see, are gone. I'm looking for a kit for this carb with no luck so far. Anyone have any ideas for me? Thanks!!!!

    Correct sending unit

I have a 1978 Cruiser that the sending unit has failed and was looking to find the correct replacement. Attached is a picture of it. I've found ones that look like it, but are shorter on the tank end. Any ideas where I can find this thing? It's made by Rochester Gauges in Texas. Darol

I have a 22 foot, 1978 Cruiser. Boat and trailer weigh about 5800 pounds. Would this 1500 pound trailer jack be sufficient for that setup? Mine sorely needs to be replaced...

    Non Skid tape

Not sure this is where this goes, but I'll give it a whirl. I'm replacing non skid tape that comes from 3M and it's called Safety Walk. I'm looking for 5 feet of 4" grey. The only place I can find it (online) is in 60 foot rolls for over $100. Do you guys know of any place to by this by the...

A friend of mine bought a new boat and trailer. Trailer has two axles and the tires on the back axles wore out in 3000 miles. Fronts are fine. What would cause this?

    Manual shift/mid 2005ish 25hp Mercury

I've got a 25hp merc from around 2005 that has the shifting on the tiller arm that I don't like, so I'm looking for a manual shift kit to install instead. I've looked around with no luck. Where can a guy find one of these? I'm assuming they exist????

    Color touchup on deck

I have a 1978 Cruiser that is in very good condition for it's age, but there are some dings here and there that I'd like to touch up. I guess that would be in the gel coat. What would you guys recommend for this? It's kind of an off white.

    Outdrive Skeg Repair

I broke off 2-3 inches of my skeg on a merc 260 outdrive. The prop was undamaged. What options do I have to repair this? If I need to weld on a new piece, will I have to remove the gears and seals first?

    Question about points

Here is what I found. The cam section separates from the main shaft just above the plate. It's pressed together and held in place by the screw and clamp that's in the photo. So, there's where it was spinning. With the Mallory YLM 624 shown above, what would be the correct coil that goes...

    Question about points

We bought new a short block about 9 years ago and transfered the heads, manifold etc. from the original 1978 350 Merc setup. I'm assuming dizzy is distributor. It's a Merc Marine distributor with the numbers J354 on the side. I can spin it anywhere I want. A local mechanic suggested it might...

Did I mess my impeller or something up?

I just fired the boat up today for the first time since October. A 1978 350 Merc with a heat exchanger. Hooked the water up, fired it up and watched for the exhaust water to run, but nothing. I shut it down and found a low spot in the water supply, just inside the transom that was frozen. I...

    Question about points

I just bought a new set of points for my merc 350 distributor and when installed, the composite foot that rides the cam is a pinch to long and won't let the gap get small enough. Can a guy just file the foot down to make it fit or will that mess with the integrity of it? The reason I ask is, if...

    Non Skid Strips

This may be in the wrong place, but what I'm looking for is some 1" nonskid strips that will take a beating. I use it on the floor of my boat that spends most of it's time in the salt, wet and fish flopping around. It gets messy, but needs to hold up. We've had some there for several years now...
