    2000 8hp oilfuel mixture

    I just bought a 8hp Yamaha out I just bought a 8hp Yamaha outboard for a jon boat. I think Yamaha calls for 100/1 fuel mixture for this motor. I understand that 50/1 is standard. Would it hurt to run 50/1? Dont 100/1 seem awfully lean? Would 50/1 effect the running of the engine?
