    I am wondering what the best thing is to use for ballast on my boat I had pig iron but have a little way to go and need more but can’t get any wondering if there is anything else I can make up myself all ideas welcome

    Advice needed

    I have a ford mermaid 2711E model which I have taken out of my boat and I am wondering if a ford 2712E model will fit on the mountings for engine, also will a Borg Warner gearbox fit as I am planning to remove from the mermaid 2711E and fit the ford sabre 2712E thanks
