    Trolling motor bends when engaged

    Engaging the trolling motor pushing the boat forward causes the trolling motor to bend and hit the boat. I got this motor used so it seems maybe a bracket is missing or broken that normally holds the motor in place. Any tips on how to correct this behavior. Thanks, Backwards sailing boatman
