    Alternator noise

    The alternator on my port crusader 350 model engine will squeal or whine when under a load, only for a few moments then goes away. It’s quiet when at idle. What causes this? Thanks!

    This is what we ended up adding when the risers and elbows were done. I like the idea of suction from a pail (same way i winterize) that way no worries about pressure, also I could just add some salt-away to the pail. I do have a fresh water source in the engine room so this should work out good...

    another high oil pressure question

    My IV gen 454 port engine has high oil pressure, 80psi. I put a mechanical gauge on it and it reads 66psi. Not sure how I should proceed from here. Seems to run fine otherwise, It's a fairly low time engine, running Rotella 15/40.

    Low oil pressure alarm switch

    Quick question, my low oil pressure alarm stopped working so I figured I’d replace the switch/pressure sensor. what are the 2 wires connected to it? One must be for the alarm what’s the other one for?? thanks gen IV 454 crusaders

    crusader 350 solenoid removal

    Went in well, no issues, one post was unused had the letter R next to it, the solenoid I took out had a clipped wire attached to it.

    I have looked but can't find info on the generation of my crusader 350 engines? The serial number are 54510 and 54511 The boat was built 1n 1986
