    Mercury 50 HP exhaust out of vent hole in crankcase

    I have an 80's model Mercury 50 3 cylinder 2 stroke. It does not idle and exhaust vents out of hole in crankcase, near the fuel pump before it shuts off. (see uploaded photo) I would appreciate if some may share why this happens. Thank you Ben
