Not beIng familiar with these engines can someone tell me if the head /valves are serviceable or does "Honda" recommend just replacing it?
So you are thinking ignition too. I think I'm just gonna swap out the pack, even though I have to change the stator and timing base too.
The way to adjust the high speed needle is to take in out on the boat and run it WOT. Then open the needle until the motor burbles and starts slowing
Methinks it is too rich at 7/8 turn. 3/4 or less is more like normal. Try turning it in till it starts to falter, then back it out till it regains power.
I did a spark check using a timing light, and the spark does stop in both coils at idle speed only after engine has warmed up. A miss can be seen just
