Lay the motor on its side with the shift handle facing up and drip some power steering fluid on the shaft where it goes into the exhaust housing and work
The trigger is bad......
The newer models after 99 the pee stream is steaming hot and this is normal for these engines ,the way the water is routed is why it takes longer to start

Thanks! Yes, the i.d. of the hose is 1.25", however, the nipples flare to the T which is 1.5" IIRC. It's cast iron.
