I have a Montgomery Ward 5hp. Mod# GG8977A S/N 85X733350 I was wanting to know what year it is and the fuel and oil mixture.
Did you pull the hubs and clean the bearings and replace the inner seals. Now would be the time?
The bearings heat up especially on a long pull, keep a grease gun on your boat and give the bearings a shot of grease before you back into the water.
