How far will it drop before it hangs up? Saltwater motor?
How far will the spark jump? What kind of spark plug wires did you use, are they copper core?
You need a battery cable to connect the battery + to big battery terminal on starter. Connect negative battery post to grounding stud on flywheel cover.
Did you shift it into drive?
