I purshased a heat exchanger for my
raw water cooled v8 some say no
but it must be better to close the system
to salt and air

Closed systems are best for a lot of reasons. You can get a fereshwater kit from Marine Power
 
Less corrosion and you can ru

Less corrosion and you can run at a higher temperature with an enclosed system.
