NGK # will tell you GAP MOST WERE PREGAPPED FROM NGK GO TO MERC DEALER WITH SERIAL # AND HAVE THEM TELL YOU WHAT PLUG TO BUY AND THEN GO TO PARTS HOUSE AND BUY THAT PLUG FOR 2.99 compared to 10.99 AND INSTALL!!! BTW IF IT IS BUHW, BUHW-2 , BU8H, OR ANY OTHER BUXXX COMBO'S ITS A SURFACE GAP!!!! "
 
JLey...The proper plug is NGK

JLey...The proper plug is NGK BUHW or if you want the resister plug BUZHW. These plugs are surface gap plugs and connot be gapped. Be sure you use these plugs and merc TCWIII oil and they will help extend the life of that motor...DJ
