" 1986 Mercruiser 170 HP I/O. I first noticed in the morning the Tach wasn't working, later in the day the engine started to miss and it popped through the carb, I have no idea if the two are related or its just coincidence. It will only miss at a higher rpm and lose power but it is very inter mittent. When I finally pulled the engine cover in the harbor, it ran fine. In the spring I changed plugs and fuel filters. The cap, rotor, and points are a year old with about 80 hours on them. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. "
