" It can be very easy, as long as you get everything lined up , take your time, and DON"T FORCE IT. I've seen gearcases ruined because of not having the shiftshafts lined up properly. If you keep the shift in neutral, you'll probably have to rotate the flywheel to get the splines of the driveshaft to go into the crankshaft. The water tube is easy because of the guide tube on top of the water pump housing. Next make sure the lower shiftshaft slides into the upper shiftshaft.Thats about it except for bolting it up and testing.
