I have a 1990 tamd41b.I insta

I have a 1990 tamd41b.I installed a water heater that uses a heat exchanger hooked into the fresh water cooling system from the motor. I tied into the plug on the waterpump and the upper plug on the thermostat housing. The water does get warm but not hot-hot. any ideas to get either more flow or hotter water? Did I tie into the right supplys? Thanks Brad
