i have a 1994 yamaha 15hp pul

i have a 1994 yamaha 15hp pull start and i would like to know if i could charge a battery with it it has two wires that come out from under the fly weel with a plug on the end what are the wires for

What color are the wires you are talking about? They may be for charging a battery, but I would like to be positive about this before saying for sure. I can check the wiring schematic and give you a definite answer.

These wires deliver A/C current for accessories such as lighting. In order to charge a battery, you would have to add a rectifier/regulator, which would not be very difficult. I don't know why the manufacturer does not include this in the manual start models. You could look up the parts that you would need at the Yamaha website, but you would have to use a model number that corresponds to an electric start version of your engine.

I wouldnt plan on charging muc

I wouldnt plan on charging much with a 15hp motor. It's probably only around 10 amps
