1999 BF 130A Impeller Change

I just bought a 1999 BF130A an

I just bought a 1999 BF130A and don't have the shop manuals yet. I need to change the impeller and tried to drop the lower end today. I couldn't see a place to disconnect the forward/reverse gear shaft. Does anybody know if the linkage needs to be disconnected before taking the lower end off? I appreciate any help.
 
"You need to remove the bolts

"You need to remove the bolts on the sides of the lower unit, and one above the prop (underneath the trim tab). Once all the bolts are out, you may need to use a rubber mallet to encourage the lower unit to part with the engine."

Thanks for the info. It worked like a charm. Any insight you can pass on about the 1999 BF130 is helpful. I ordered the relay that was recalled and have cleaned the plugs. It seems to run fine. I haven't had it in the water yet for the shake down but hope to do that on Friday.
