"My 95' 70HP Yamaha runs ok @ 3/4 (4500rpm) speed. But when I open up (5200rpm) she shuts down within 30-45 sec. As I'm sitting dead in the water the overheat alarm sounds. The motor will restart and idle. In fact, after a few minutes the alarm discontinues. I can throttle back up to 3/4 speed but attempts to run at full throttle are met with the same results. The entire cooling system was just rebuilt (new impeller, thermostat, numerous gaskets, cleaned out water jackets, etc.). Could this problem be oil injection related?"
