Gimbal bearing lube question

"Hi and thanks to everyone that helped me with my last post.

I have a 98 Crownline BR202 with a 5.0L and a Alpha 1. I need to lube the Gimbal, but cannot find it. My boat has a odd hatch, so the back of the engine is somewhat hidden. Can someone guide me to it, hopefully I can feel it and put the greese gun on the zert. Any help is appreciated. Thanks...Glenn"

the fitting is on the stbd. side of the transom assy. it is OUTSIDE the boat.

there is a fitting on the coup

there is a fitting on the coupler. bolted to the crankshaft behind the engine. this lubes the coupler splines. has nothing to do with the gimbal bearing.

Lube the gimbal with marine gr

Lube the gimbal with marine grade bearing grease while the engine is idling to distribute the grease throughout the bearing. Doing it w/the engine off just puts a blob in one spot on the inside of the bearing. It distributes some when it is running but not like it will at idle.
