"SBRD. engine runs 20 degrees warmer than PORT eng. and has just started to pressurize coolant reservoir tank, and blowing coolant thru cap. Heat exchanger OK,new thermostats, new raw water impeller. Any ideas appreciated!"

Exhaust leak into coolant or restricted coolant flow inside heat exchanger.

It sounds to me like the head

It sounds to me like the head gasket is allowing combustion pressure to pressurize the cooling system.

"1. Did you rebuild heat exchanger (remove insert, acid bath....) to ensure flow?
2. Sometimes the transmissions acquire debris and cause system to pressurize. Try removing outlet hose from your heat exchanger to your transmission and flushing it with a garden hose (remove the hose that connects to your "elbow" and place it in a bucket to see if you get anything. worth a try anyways."
