How do I adjust the steering tension on my 1998 Force 25hp outboard? The tension is too tight to be safe.

"Steve, there is a tension adjustment screw on the swivel bracket. Difficult to try and explain where/what so I will include a parts diagram to help you find it...

Numbers 6,7,8,9 and 10 is the tension assembly...
