"we think we got a problem with the water pump as we could only rev the motor at full revs for aprox 2 mins before the revs would cut down. the water outlet looked constant tho i thought.
any way we were told that perhaps we should change the water pump , we took the pump chamber in to the shop so he ( shop keeper ) could see it and he said ,,' looks like you have a bearng problem which has caused the pump to elongate slightly''.
only when we looked at the bearings on the drive shaft nearest the bearings they dont have any noticable pitting or damgae and when there is presure on them they seem play free. but without presure on them they do give a bit of play,, trouble is tho i cannt see how the bearings are put under presure..
could i be missing some thing ?? how can i be sure the bearings are fine or not ?"
