Late model force 40hp runs perfect but

"I bought it with a used 14 ft fishing boat a few months ago. Not sure of the year of the motor. looks like new, not a scratch and runs perfect...but...when I flush it out with fresh water....I dont see water streaming out (like my older johnson did when I flushed it). There is some water coming out the exhaust (but not a lot) and some streaming out the lower unit (below the intake). IS this normal? Should there be water peeing out the top somewhere like my other outboards have in the past? Sorry for the stupid question....but even my neighbors have asked..."why isnt she pumping water".... Please advise. AND should I replace the impeller for the hell of it? Thanks! Ken"

Check your waterpump as well a

I have a 90hp force and there is a stream rear right below the motor housing

"I have a 93 40hp force and from what I've been told the 2 holes on shaft are exhaust ports where you will see water spitting but not streaming & the true water out put is happening from near the prop, don't quote me, but I think the weak stream from the 2 holes on the shaft is normal for the force."
