Help I can't get my 2.3 li

Help I can't get my 2.3 liter to idle below 800 rpm with out almost stalling. It's hard to restart even warm. The plugs indicate that it maybe running a little rich.

I first tried to tune my idle using the boat tach. After struggling, I hooked up my portable car tach and found that the boat tach is not very accurate at lower RPMs (of course, assuming my car tach is).

Before you pull your hair out, check to make sure your boat tach is accurate (if that's what you're using)."

Thanks Chris but I'm not using the boat tach since I don't trust it much. Sometimes it says I doing 5.2k other times it'll tell me 7k. I'm using the tach on my timing light.

"yea, I learned that the hard way! It does sound like it's a carb issue, but now this is outside my expertise. Hopefully, a carb expert will chime in."
