Your increase in rpm may be a result of the carb leaning out. This can happen if a fuel pump is starting to go out, if the filter is clogged, if there is dirt in the carb, or if the fuel pickup tube in your gas tank is starting to clog up.

Please be more specific about the symptoms. Will the motors hunt for rpm quickly, or is this a slow wander.
