Repowering a MD 11C with 110S saildrive

I am considering repowering my

I am considering repowering my 33" sloop. The Volvo MD11C is a 1980 motor with saildrive. Some people say I should simply recondition the old one (it is salt water cooled). Others say I should go with a new Yanmar. Others say stick with a new Volvo. Can any of you give me some advice?
