the brass tag on this engine reads MR383

" Phyllis, one way of getting

" Phyllis, one way of getting a pretty close guess is to look at the date code on the carburetor( if original)that is. If Carter equipped,the code is located the left hand side on the carb flange. (now you have the throttle lever RH). There is a stamped 4 digit number followed by S. Then a letter and another digit. Example) 6212S B2.Got it?
