2007 250 4strokes tilt trim issue

got a pair of 250's and th

got a pair of 250's and they are automatically tilting and trimming while running or turned off. Any idea what is causing this?

"So when you turn on the key or power to the boat, they just start tilting without using the tilt switch?

If that is the case I would check to see if the tilt switch is bad, also you may want to see if there is corrosion or something dead shorting across the connections on the tilt motors. If they are both doing it at the same time, that is strange unless they operate off the same tilt switch."
