Omc outdrive slipping under load

i have a 87 searay seville w o

i have a 87 searay seville w omc out drive 130hp. ive noticed when pulling up a skier a few seconds into the pull my engine/outdrive seem to have a second of slippage/"clunk" that last a slip second. almost like the feeling you have hit an object under water or a gear is "slipping". i have done great matenince on this boat and recently had the shift module and shift cable/linkage replaced w a tune up. any ideas???

"what you have described is a classic symptom of bad clutch dogs. unfortunately, the fix is a gearset, and clutch. the "clunk" is the clutch slipping off one dog, and catching the next."
