Convert Tohatsu 35 4stroke to external fuel tank

I've got a 2006 3.5 4 stro

I've got a 2006 3.5 4 stroke that I use for trolling and auxilary power for my skiff. I would like to convert it to using an external tank so I don't have to hang over the back of my boat to fill the internal tank. Doesn't have any kind of fuel pump. Was thinking about getting a fuel pump from a 3.5 2 stroke or from a 4 hp 4 stroke and using that. Besides not having a fixed mount for the pump does anyone have any ideas if there would be any sort of problems? Thank you for any replies.
 
The only problem that you will

The only problem that you will run into is that there is no factory way to do it so.....Mounting and finding a mechanical pump that might work would be a major issue.
