"Well Happy July 4, we got pow

"Well Happy July 4, we got power, and I hope we have solved all of our problems. The intermittent power was due to an old fuse block. Replaced that and the ignition key and we have power. I have one last question, for now. Could the intermittent power have caused poor or no suction to draw the water up from the impelller to the engine on the boat? We haven't started her yet to check due to the neighbors,ya know they are probably still sleeping, but hubby is passed out sleeping cuz he was up very late doing the electrical work on the boat. But if anyone can answer me I would appreciate it. Thank you."

Nope,...........

That's 2 Entirely Different Issues........."

"Hey again Cathy, sorry about your troubles and headaches. Got nerve pills yet? HA
ABOUT NO WATER:
When you had the drive apart, before putting the lower drive to the top drive, (can't find name or pic) but was the black rubber piece ok that is around the brass or copper pipe? It seals them together so no air can be sucked up, just water. Should be installed in the upper drive first, then slip on the lower drive. I slightly greased mine insided and out so it would seal and slip together easily."

"Hey Steve thanks for the repl

"Hey Steve thanks for the reply, Now to answer your question, are you talking about the pipe that comes from the back of the transom to the outdrive? If so I don't know if hubby checked that. It would seem to me that he may have however being first time boat owners and relying on several different sources that may be something he overlooked due to concentrating on the bigger stuff. We do know our boat better though and we did fix a lot. So all is not lost, just want to go fishing....LOL"

"Okay Steve , just asked his (hubby) your question, he said he put that in the lower unit first and then put them together. We are going to take the drive back off and do it again. He knew what your were talking about. We looked to replace it and couldn't find that part, however we will try again. Nerve pills? Not yet but I did feel like being committed to some kind of boat blues rest home. LOL
