My trim will not go up nor dow

My trim will not go up nor down. Trim Motor runs when up or down button is pushed. Luckily the outdrive was in the up positions and I was able to trailer. I suspect fluid leak. Does any one now the procedure to check the fluid level and how to add the fluid and the capacity? I am able to move the outdrive slightly up and down manually. Thanks.

"You should see a trim motor/pump unit similar to the pic below probably mounted inside on your transom somewhere. See screw # 14, this is the reservoir plug. Normally you have the drive down when you remove as pressure can build up inside however you don't have much choice and shouldn't be a problem if it's empty anyway. Fill up to the hole with hydraulic fluid (power steering, ATF) and raise and lower the drive a few times and see if you can work the air out and then for a final check with drive lowered fill to the hole again and check for leaks. "
