Omc overheating

i have an older omc the exh.ma

i have an older omc the exh.manifold cracked on me
after an endless search found one it was for one a
year newer got it installed took it out on the water and it took about 2 min and it was hot started to check things out took apart the impeller it looks fine. just wondering if anybody
had any ideas. wondering if the exh.manifold i got
isnt the one for it everything bolted up fine
any help i would be gratefull
 
Could your riser be plugged up

Could your riser be plugged up? I had that issue last year on my 165.

"I'd first verify that the hoses are in the correct loactions, Check to see if the thermostat is stuck, lastly I'd check for a plugged riser. It doesn't take much to get rust to develop and then fall off clogging the water passage. If the riser fit and the flange was the same then it is most likely the correct one."
