"This engine fires up easily w

"This engine fires up easily when cold and runs strong. The problem is after it warms up and I turn the engine off to pick up a skier etc, she just doesn't want to start again. It takes me literaly 10-20 tries to get her to start agin. I have done all the usual tune up stuff including points, cap, plugs, wires, coil, carb rebuild and even replaced the ignition switch. I would appreciate all opinions and advice. Thanks."

"Next time you go to start it warm, remove the flame arrestor and look down the carb, is the choke closed? then give it some throttle and see if you see a stream of gas. I'm wondering if somehow your bowl is draining while shutoff?"

"Vapor lock (the fuel will boil or vaporize before it gets into the motor due to excess heat), mine does it all the time, I have the same engine, carb and set-up. If you open the engine hatch, I just prop the cover up and allow that hot air to escape, it will help. Or you can run your blower for 10-15 min to clear some heat out."
