Hello I just wanted to know ho

Hello I just wanted to know how hard it is to install a gimbal and what else should you do while doing it? I am a do it yourself but have never replaced the gimbal so any suggestions would be nice thank you Darrin

It will be to your advantage to purchase a Seloc or Clymer service manual from a dealer or save some cash and buy the Mercruiser factory service engine and OD manuals on eBay for the year of the engine & OD of the boat. Just follow the detailed directions.

Buy the manual, have a read and have a go, its not a hard job but make sure you understand whats involved before you start.

"You'll also need a slide hammer, or something similar to pull the old bearing. Not a tough job at all.
Before installing the new bearing slip it on the leg input shaft and make sure it fits over the area near the yoke, where the two O rings are. When re-installing the drive, use lots of grease on these O rings and the splines.
