can i insatlla a 5.8 engine om

can i insatlla a 5.8 engine omc cobra to 5.0 omc outdrive please help
and if u guys can tell me what are the first steps to star the engine out of the water ? thanks im new in boats
im having a lot of fun lol
 
Benny...it should work since b

Benny...it should work since both are Fords but there is a difference in the gear ratio's for the 2 drives. You might be able to compensate with a prop change as they are fairly close.
