Is there a systematic way to adjust the accelerator pump on the AQ125b carb? Accelerating from forward at idle speed kills the engine; accelerating from neutral at idle works well.

"Check that the accelerator pump nozzle squirts gas the moment you give it throttle. If it doesn't, make sure the accelerator pump is working and adjust the nut as required so that the jet squirts gas when accelerating. If this does not work, then you may have to free the lever under the pump (if it is seized) or rebuild the pump."
