"We got the spline into the '79 searay with the 228. The gimbal bearing is somewhat of a self-centering bearing. My dad got it. My only problem was that I was not willing to hit it that hard. Once, he got the shaft in the first time, it comes out and goes back in with ease. I just wanted all of you to know that we'll put it back int the water today for shift cable adjustment and everything seems to be great. But it wouldn't be without all of you and this page. I really do appreciate your help."
