When i first got my bo
"Hi,
When i first got my boat with the motor, it ran great and continued to do so all summer and the next. However, last year, i cleaned out the fuel filter, and put fresh gas in the tank and went to start it up. It took a little while like normal, and started up, then it stalled which it never did. I checked all fuel connections, and got new hoses to make sure it was getting fuel. It started again, ran for awhile, i put it in gear in the yard and it ran fine.
So i brought it down, launched, started it and put it in gear. It just stalled. it won't run while its in the water at all, i can choke it and push the throttle forward and it will start revv and then die. I am at a loss at what to do, as its still doing it this year. while it was in the yard this year, i pulled the spark plug caps off one at a time and none seemed to make a difference in how it ran. So, i am thinking it might be something electrical?"
