"I've noticed the last few times i took the boat out that the temp has been getting cooler and cooler, it settled at about 120. My boats norm is about 160. I'm not sure if it's the gauge, thermostat or sensor. Any suggestions on how to trouble shot this problem???"

"I would check first for a stuck T'stat especially if its RWC'd. It is cheap to replace anyway.
If that does not fix it, my guess is the sender may be shot. They tend to go after a while. You can check it with an ohmeter with the wire disconnected. It should show about 600-650 ohms across it at normal room temperature (not hot). They are also fairly inexpensive to replace, as boat parts go.

"First (here I go again!) buy a laser temp gun and see what's actually going on, then replace the t-stat OR the gage.
