What oil viscosity do you reco

What oil viscosity do you recomend for 1969 350's Dont know how many hrs but runs great. Any special brand or type for salt water applications?
I am currently using straight 40 weight valvoline

"How's the oil pressure?

"How's the oil pressure? If about right, go with 10W40. (Multivis oil is a lot easier on the distributor gears.) If the oil pressure is running a bit high, go with 10W30.

Oil presure is a steady 40 psi

Oil presure is a steady 40 psi..Currently have straight 40w with one quart removed and one quart Rislone added. Boat sat for 2 1/2 years without running. Everything nice and running strong.
