"Steve...not sure what you mean by the switches (renewed)? If you follow the wires out of the ESA you will come to a 4 pin plug for the switches, pull this apart and check for corrosion, there is also a 2 pin plug, will have a purple and gray wire. The purple is your 12v feed to the ESA, is it live?. The gray wire goes to the neg side of the coil, is it OK. Also check this plug for corrosion. The last wire from the ESA goes to ground, make sure it's tight. You can unplug the 4 pin plug and bypass the switches. Looking at the 4 pin plug (ESA end) you should see a black and blue wire, there will also be 2 other blue wires which are really just a jumper. Take a jumper wire of some kind and go from the black to the blue wire, this will simulate pushing on the interupt switch, if the rpm's drop then you have some sort of switch/wiring problem."
