"Looking to buy a 2003 Chap 300. These engines have about 300 hours on them...I was told the previous owners took really good care of the boat and NEVER left it in the water...for even one night...What do you think?

PS...My pic of the actual eng. is too big too upload...sorry

"What can I say? It looks good from the distance, but if the boat has not been recently surveyed you may want to hire a marine surveyor who can give you a more detailed report of its actual condition."
 
I was definately going to get

I was definately going to get a survey and an engine compression test done.

The survey quote I received was $18/ft. Seems kind of high to me...Any advice on whether to look for a cheaper guy? He's SAM certified...
