What other motors might bolt u

What other motors might bolt up the same. My buddies dad is telling me it's a chevy block with all volvo componenets. I can't just drop a car motor in right?

"If it is a 4-cylinder engine, it is a Volvo engine and you cannot install a Chevy unless you get a different bellhousing, a different exhaust, a different set of gears in the outdrive, and a few other etceteras.

You cannot just drop a car engine unless you first marinize it (you need a marine cam, intake manifold, distributor, alternator, starter, fuel pump, distributor, etc, etc)."
