"I have a 454/330 mercruiser 1990, which bought the farm. I just picked up a new (rebuilt longblock). the question is this, the old motor had the large oval port heads, the new longblock has the small oval port heads. Can I use my old intake manifold (from large port heads on the new motor with the small ports? do i need some sort of adapter? which gasket would I use? Or do I need to get a new intake to match the new small port heads? thanks"
