"my freind (honest!)imported a boat from Florida and a nutter got loose in the engine bay ,cutting pipes and pulling the plug leads from the distributor.I was told the firing order might be 13726548 ?? I did try this but the starter is so slow there may be other problems ahead.Also there is no fresh water system, can it be right that the raw water is pumped round the block?"

"That is the right firing order assuming you know where #1 is on the distributor. Sounds like you have a raw water cooled setup, not great for salt water unless you flush after every use."
