"For a 1990-1992 (I believe) Nissan NS60A 2 stroke outboard motor.
When I tried to put the boat in reverse, it acted as if it wasn't enganging completely. The propeller spins... but the boat doesn't move unless in a low throttle position (still in reverse). So it'll move VERY, VERY slow but not at the proper speeds it did last year.
The motor WILL however go into forward and works fine. I'm ordering the manual but it won't arrive till next week. Any advice on this?
PART name request. The "shroud" that's right behind the propeller (not the prop nut) that's in between the lower unit and the propeller. It's bolted TO the lower unit w/ two bolts. This piece is cracked at both bolts and needs to be replaced, but I don't know what it's called.
