My son acquired a Johnson outb

My son acquired a Johnson outboard model no. FD-21R.

Is this a 1967 model?

Is this 20 hp or 21hp?

What does the "R" signify - recoil start?

Thank you for any help with this.
 
"1967 - 20hp Excellent motor.

"1967 - 20hp Excellent motor. Best to check the coils under the flywheel as they are often cracked. R has to to with production runs, nothing else."
