"I have a Volvo AQ231 in my 1991 Seasport, it’s really a GM 305 with transistor ignition. Recently I changed the distributor cap, rotor, plugs and wires, all Volvo parts from an online dealer. The engine starts, idles fine, can be revved to 4500+ rpm however when the boat is in the water under power the motor won't run right, it seems to have lost a significant portion of it's power, I can't get the RPM's up past 3000. Any help would be greatly appreciated."
